Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

"This provider" always spends as much time as needed with me during my visits. He is very attentive and explains everything in detail so that I can understand everything involved in my care. Thank you for all you do for your patients!

I liked Dr. Burningham's manner & attitude.

Can wait a long period of time inadequate diagnosis. not often

Terrific dialogue with me as a patient. Zeroed in on the diagnosis and provided prompt therapy. A very positive experience.

He was very nice and explained things in a way I could understand.

Never looked in my nose. Gave me the same medications as previous Dr. Even when I explained they didn't work for me.

He was super helpful regarding my tomsilectomy. he showed how much he cares about his patients and their success.

Dr. Burningham is the first and only positive physician care I have received from a Providence affiliated physician. He was prepared, asked questions calmly and thoroughly listened and responded to my questions and concerns. He was also the only medical professional associated with Providence that was able to take the necessary steps to resolve and removedthe foreign body accidentally still remaining in my ear. The prior visits to both Providence Urgent Care and the ER immediately following exacerbated the situation and proved to be absolutely useless other than making it possible for an expedited referral to Dr. Burningham, which took three phone calls and significant wait times to schedule. The positive outcome made those scheduling challenges worth experiencing. My husband was looking for an ENT, I recommended that he contact Dr. B without hesitation.

Dr. Burningham performed Thyroid removal surgery on me last year this was a follow-up visit. He is a gifted surgeon, a great Dr. and a compassionate man. If he were a general practitioner he would be my doctor.

They really need to make a betting effort, to understand, my medication allergies. They need to be careful and listen to patient about what the percrib and call in to pharmacy.

very good. Dr. Burnningham is a wonderful &caring Dr. Very personable. Very caring.

my doctor ordered a ultasound on my thyroid a week and a half ago to [...]. [...] still had not recieved it and I have called the clinic three times now requesting them to fax it. I even have them [...] fax number and they still have not recieved. I am very upset and fustrated. this happens everytime Dr Birmingham sends orders for me to have tests done. all I want is to get my ultasound done but don't want to have to keep calling the office to request something that never gets done

Wait time unusally long for Providence, but receptionist aware of difficulty. Compared to experience in Ohio wait times at Providence excellent. No medical records because we are new to area.

I am very impressed with Dr. Burningham. He really respects and cares for his patients. I appreciate the fact that he is very thorough and explains what is going on, what to expect with the procedure or surgery. I have recommended him to friends because of his thoroughness and gentle nature. He is excellent !

Dr. Burningham is always polite and thorough when I visit his office. He is aware of my ongoing sinus problems and treats my symptoms with/without the prescriptions I need.

Dr Burningham and his staff and surgical team were outstanding. I was so grateful to be in their care. I had the left side of my thyroid removed and a large nodule. I had very little pain and great healing. I am thankful for quality care and people who love their job and do it well. I felt calm going into surgery because I knew I was in good hands . I am grateful.

Very impressed with short wait time in waiting room (< 2 min.) and to see doc (< 3 min.)!

I have always been very pleased with Dr Burningham and his staff. Great patient care and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for my medical needs.

they listened to what my daughter-in/- law and I had to say and answered our questions for us.

Was understanding to my situation and what my health plan would cover and gave options to try that would be covered by my insurance.

The biggest challenge was the wait time getting in to see an ENT physician. Understandable when short staffed, but still a challenge as a patient.

I was referred to this doctor by my pcp to have a spot in my throat examined and treated. He prescribed a drug... I took it and went back 3 months later to have it examined. He did and I'm released. This doctor is Very busy but once I go my 1st appt, all went well.

Dr Burningham is great., very professional and explained everything in great.detail! His assistant [...] is also great.!!!

my regular care provider, is DR.Lam. on a few occasions I have had to wait a week or for a prescription to be calls in. When this has happens, I have had to call the office and whom ever I speak to, tells me they can call that in right away. So why does it take me calling the office to get my mess. called in? When I ask either party, they put the blame on the other. It is irritating to me to fight to get my pills.

At a visit with PA [...] on [...], she thought she saw blood behind my ear drum, and reccomended I see Dr. Birmingham as soon as possible to determine if something in my ear was contributing to dizziness and near fainting. The earliest appt. I could get was [...] seven weeks later. Probably a goo thing I turned out to be anemic and not have bleeding in my ear. I realize this is not the Dr's fault or his office, but the shortage of Drs.

Dr. Burningham gave excellent advice and follow up care for my thyroid nodules. My husband and I are so thankful for the great surgical outcome, and for all the staff during a emotional time dealing with an uncertain thyroid condition.

He was outstanding, good at listening and making connection with patient.

I love Dr. Burningham, however, some of his receptions and nurses that we talk to on the phone, need some one on one training.

Dr. Burningham was well informed of my medical history and made sensible recommendations for treatment and follow-up for my specific condition.

Dr. Burningham performed Thyroid Cancer Surgery on me and his care and concern made a very difficult time a lot easier on my family and on me. He has always been caring and attentive to being sure we understood what he was talking about and let us know he was teaming up with us not just operating on us and then on to the next surgery. A very caring and compassionate man and that cannot be taught in med school.

Dr. Burningham has always been great.

He listened to all my concerns and truly understood me. My other ENT, did not. He is great!

The office was able to get my son in for a visit in a timely manner- the squeezed him in for this necessary visit.

I feel Dr. Burningham is well qualified to give me the service I sought.
