About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

At last visit, I had a urinary test. Several days later I check My Cart and thought that bacteria levels were outside the norm. I called my doctor's office in the afternoon. My feeling was that they were not aware of the infection. The following morning they called to tell me that they had ordered medication for me. This was 5 days after symptoms had developped.

EVERYONE PUT ME AT EASE IMMEDIATELY ... I WAS VERY ANXIOUS. I HAVE ALREADY TOLD SEVERAL OF MY FRIENDS ABOUT DR. BROOKS. MY ONCOLOGIST TOLD ME HE HIGHLY RECOMMENDS A GYN/UROL- OGIST FOR WOMEN ... "UROLOGISTS ARE FOR MEN". IT MAY SOUND SILLY BUT I LEFT FEELING LIKE I HAD MADE A FRIEND.

I have only been there once, and Dr Brooke was very nice and listened to what I had to say. She seemed to be knowledgeable and informative. My only complaintwas that I had to wait two months to get in to see her. I called in twice during that time to try and get in earlier but to no avail. Since then I was referred for an ultra sound (which took ten days), and am now waiting for a biopsy (another eleven days). I do not appreciate all of this waiting for a potentiallyserious situation.

Dr. Brooks walked through pre-surgery information and answered my list of questions. She even took an additional question or two not related to the surgery. She made an extra effort to provide me with a copy of the MRI radiologists report which I hadn't seen yet.

Found it very easy to go through this situation with Dr. Brooks. She was wonderful and helped me understand my condition clearly. She laid out a plan for me, and helped to find an Rx that wasn't going to charge me $300 for my medicine. I thank her very much.

My usual provider retired and this was my first visit to Dr. Brooks. I didn't find her very personable, and she was unwilling to see me for anything other than my specialty issue. That means I'll need to find an extra doctor. This is different than the approach of the other provider.

She spent a lot of time entering information into the computer rather than being face to face with me. Perhaps reorienting the room and providing her with a laptop would improve this. I realize that she is required to complete a lot of forms and generate paperwork but it seems too much focus is spent on that rather than patient interaction.
