Dr. Brandenburg decided to become a physician because he enjoys the combination of human interaction, relationship and the science of medicine. He considers his most important role to be helping people by clarifying issues, pointing out which therapies have beneficial evidence and which don’t. He also attempts to keep the cost of care in mind.
“I think what I enjoy most about being a doctor is knowing people over time and honoring their trust in me,” he says.
Dr. Brandenburg is a board-certified physician with a specialty in internal medicine. He earned his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. He completed his internship at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco, and his residency at Providence Portland Medical Center.
Raised in Medford, Dr. Brandenburg and his wife now reside in Jacksonville and plan to live the rest of their lives in the community. They have two grown children and enjoy horseback riding, bicycling and playing golf.
