Biography

Dr. Susie Bobenrieth emphasizes care of the whole patient.  She believes that patients won’t do well with preventive care or management of chronic health conditions if there are barriers to their care. “As a provider,” she says, “I try to recognize and address these issues collaboratively with my patients.”

She decided to become a family physician after volunteering in various health care environments and recognizing the role that the family physician can play in prevention, support and advocacy for patients in times of both wellness and illness. “It is a joy and privilege to journey with patients through the ups and downs of life,” she says.

Dr. Bobenrieth earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. She completed her internship and residency at Family Medicine of Southwest Washington in Vancouver. She has a special interest in caring for families through pregnancy and the transition to parenthood.

Dr. Bobenrieth is married and has two children. She enjoys hiking, camping, knitting, gardening and playing soccer.

About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

I first saw Dr. Bobenrieth just about a year ago. I really liked her mannerism, display of concern, professionalism. But my health plan changed, and she was no longer on the list of providers. Fast forward one year, and the health plan changed again. Now I am free to see Dr. Bobenreith as my primary care physician again. I am very happy about that.

Dr. Susie was wonderful. Took her time with me, and made me feel like a person, not a number. Really listened to me and gave me excellent direction. I would recommend her to anyone.

I was surprised when a young, male note taker was in the exam room with us. Due to the nature of my appt, I felt that I was not as open, etc. with my doctor as I normally am. It was very distracting. I felt Like I held back about how I was feeling and was angry when I left my appt. If this would have been my annual exam, I would have refused to have him present.

She spent more time since she had a scribe, which gave her more time to look at me rather than the computer. She seemed to disregard my concerns about thyroid. She told me she would renew med which was reason for the visit and finally 9 days later and two visits to the pharmacy, it has been renewed. Very frustrating. She ordered a stress test and then came back and requested chest x-ray and ekg first.

The provider is very clear and concise and also very caring. I already have my appointments for refferal scheduled and I have already received my blood test results. I never feel rushed at an appointment because they take the time to be thorough.

Dr. Bobenreith is one of the best doctors I've ever seen, and I've seen dozens, for a variety of probems. I love that she really listens, and believes me. Not all doctors believe that their patients might know the subtleties of their own bodies better than a doctor. I love that she has a whole picture of my overall health both physical and mental, and she really seems to care. Plus, we have a really good rapport, she's got a great bedside manner and I think she can make anyone feel comfortable. And I almost never feel comfortable around doctors. Also I love that she's my Gyn as well as my PCP, giving her a more complete understanding of me, since I've had lots of Gyn problems. I wouldn't leave her unless it were absolutely necessary, and I would follow her to another practice if need be. Great doctors are hard to come by.

The only thing is that Dr. Bobenrieth is often not there. However, I have received excellent care by other Care Team B providers when she is gone.

Our problem is not with our doctor. It was with the assistance and how she dealt with our child.
