Biography & Education


Karen enjoys working with all patients and seeks to know each patient as an individual. Her educational background, experience, and commitment to the promotion of healthy lifestyles make her an enthusiastic resource to work with.

Karen's professional background is wide-ranging. She graduated with a degree in health and human performance/athletic training from George Fox University. She has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1998 specializing in Swedish and Sports Massage. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and personal trainer since 2000. She earned her doctoral degree in physical therapy from Pacific University in 2004.

Karen is a native of Montana, she loves spending time with her husband and daughter in the outdoors, fishing, camping and hiking. She loves all sports, especially track and field–in which she volunteers at several events, including USA Track and Field Championships and the Olympic Trials in Eugene. She was the Medical Team Lead for the 2016 USA and World Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Karen has a passion for running. She began as a sprinter/heptathlete and cross country athlete at George Fox University and has run several races from 5k to marathons.
