About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

Unfortunately, I have a disease (MS) that necessities my interacting with all sorts of medical professionals. Karen Ballard is a real "find". I am going nowhere. I hope she sticks around as well.

It is abundantly clear that Karen closely listens as I describe symptoms and history, waiting until she hears the total story and answers to pertinent questions she asks before making a diagnosis. At no time did I feel like a commodity to be rushed through the appointment in order to maximize profits.

This was my 1st visit to Karen Ballard (new to area). It was such a pleasant surprise to have someone care & listen to concerns, answer questions and not try to rush visit.

when I first came to this provider, the receptionist was very condescending and I felt I had to pick a provider when I had not met anyone.Karen Ballard was very supportive of the issue with her staff and took their side over my issue. during my first visit she too was very condescending to me. I am only going to this location to get my prescriptions. I do not feel safe or cared for at this clinic and am hoping to change clinics.

The NP left the room during our appointment to tend to another patient's needs. I had to repeat answers to questions she asked me. For instance, I had a hysterectomy one year ago and twice during my visit she asked me about my last menstrual period and then again about birth control. She didn't seem in tune to me as an individual. She ended up prescribing meds for me for my back pain and I had told her that meds didn't help my condition. She disagreed with my belief that pain was a warning sign of the body to protect it's structure, and she said 'not anymore'. It wasn't a great visit, but she did make the referral for imaging and I will follow up with another provider in the office next time.

Karen Ballard has a wonderful "bedside" manner - she listens, understands and communicates options clearly. Not everything is "fixable" and she is compassionate and forthright in these situations, offering options for treatment to minimize discomfort.

Lack of information known about knee care. Didn't get good idea of what was wrong with my knee. Had to go to urgent care to get more info.
