About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

This doctor went far beyond my expectations in time spent with me. She had answers to solutions to my issues.
Providence Health & Services Patient

My case is complicated. Until seeing this provider I was suffering daily. My health has improved since I have been here.
Providence Health & Services Patient

I appreciate that the Doctor is taking time to read my past history and is checking with the staff pharmacist about appropriate medications for my care.
Providence Health & Services Patient

This was hands down the WORST experience I have ever had with a medical provider. Staff was unbelievably incompetent, rude, argumentative, snotty and clearly told the doctor their bias which then translated to the doctor's treatment of me. Doctor was completely dismissive, lacked knowledge of the neurological condition I was seeking treatment for and basically said "I'll just refer you to someone else." [...]

Providence Health & Services Patient

The provider wasn't friendly and I felt like I was wasting her time. I've been to a lot of doctors trying to find a solution to my medical problem and this interaction was disappointing.
Providence Health & Services Patient

Dr. Andrae makes the unpleasant [...] as pleasant as possible. She does [...] quickly, which is awesome. I'm a fan. =)
Providence Health & Services Patient

My experience was great. The only thing I have a question about is the doctor wanted to run an EEG on me, but I haven't heard anything back about that yet. I also haven't heard back from my blood test, so I am assuming the test results are normal.
Providence Health & Services Patient

Well it hard to say. I have to go see her again. But she was very cold.
Providence Health & Services Patient

Referral for another test has been over a week since we have heard from the additional doctor for testing.

It was a great experience

I have had several neurologists over the years. Dr. Ellen Andrae is by far the best, most caring neurologist I have seen. She listens, really looks at all my records and answers questions about my overall health, not just neurological issues. She is respectful of any concerns I may have about medications and side effects, and suggests vitamins and things I can do naturally. I would be greatly concerned if she were to leave Providence. I don't think there are many specialists that have her genuine sense of care for their patients overall health.
