Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

I had just moved back to Oregon after a 10 year absence in Ohio. I personally hand picked all my new Physicians and have been extremely pleased about my choices. All have been accepting to the fact that I am very aware of physical and emotional situations. All have taken the time to get to know me, listen, and answer all my questions.

I do not take medications and she wanted me to do that. I wish that I would have been able to be treated in a more holistic approach.

I was checking to see there were any new meds for essential tremors that I have had for years. She explained that there were not any. But she did listen & checked out my symptons.

We look forward to our appt's with Dr. Anderson. She not only is interested in your medical health but what else you are doing outside of the Dr.s office. She always asks the right questions and pursues just the right way to express the issues so that you completely understand the issue.

She seemed ready to kick us out within the first five minutes because we didn't respond to knowing why the primary care had referred our mother to Dr Anderson.

Dr. Anderson used to listen and ask questions, now she seems unconcerned about my questions and I felt rushed out of the appointment. She spent more time typing notes on the computer than she did talking to me. She does not seem to care about her patients that don't have super complex or challenging conditions.

I wanted some information about cannabis use, and this doctor mention that some patients used it for a tremor. I was interested in using it for insomnia. She wasn't able to help me with that. I went to the PA, and he wasn't able to advise me on the use of cannabis nor was my regular physician. I think it's unfortunate that my healthcare cannot give out information on The use of cannabis. I was interested in the oil that's put under your tongue of the CBD variety, not the kind that get you high. I think Providence should be able to advise us on this, because the information you get off the Internet is very sketchy.

actually I was thrilled to be able to get in with in 3 days when she is booked 4 months out. I would have been very unhappy and very uncomfortable if I had to wait 4 months.

The only problem I had was having to wait 2 1/2 months for the appointment. I tried another neurologist but the wait was just this long. I was concerned about my issues and wished I could've gotten in there sooner.
