With a theme of “Wish, Hope, Dream,” this year’s Providence Festival of Trees brought a special glow to the season as beautifully adorned trees glittered and faces radiated joy. Crowds at the Dec. 2-3 event enjoyed festivities and the themed Christmas trees, such as “Winter By the Fire Millennia Ago,” provided by Jean Auel, “Clan of the Cave Bear” author and honorary festival chair. The festival’s gala auction generated more than $1 million for Providence services, from care for medically fragile children to clinical research at Providence Cancer Center. More »
