Lee Walters, M.D., emphasizes preventive care in his medical practice. "Preventing diseases is an ideal way to maintain good health; no matter what stage of disease a person may have, there are always beneficial preventive measures available to maintain and improve health."
Dr. Walters received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and was a resident in internal medicine at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He then was a fellow in metabolism at New York Hospital of Cornell University and a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellow at The Rockefeller University in New York City. In addition, he holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from The Rockefeller University.
Outside of the office, Dr. Walters enjoys Portland's bookstores, restaurants, museums and performing arts.
