Dr. Cynthia Shaff-Chin believes strongly in the importance of preventive care such as optimal exercise, nutrition, sleep and mental health. She incorporates alternative and traditional approaches to treat the whole person.
In her practice, she partners with her patients to guide and support them in their medical decisions. "I want to empower patients to make the best possible decisions for their health."
After earning her medical degree from Michigan State College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, Dr. Shaff-Chin completed her residency in family medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. She completed a fellowship in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona, Tucson. She is board certified in family medicine.
Dr. Shaff-Chin has a special interest in women's health and enjoys caring for pregnant woman as well as entire families. Married with two daughters, she enjoys swimming, yoga and outdoor activities such as bicycling.
