Dr. Matthew McClelland understands the importance of listening to his patients. "Successful communication in the clinic starts with a physician who takes the time to carefully listen and understand the patient's concerns," he says. "My interaction with patients is what makes me excited to go to work each day."
Practicing dermatology appealed to Dr. McClelland because of the wide variety of diseases and age groups he is able to treat. He enjoys getting to know his patients and their families, and treats all his patients with integrity and respect.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Dr. McClelland earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Va. He completed his internship at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Va., and his residency at the University of Minnesota Department of Dermatology in Minneapolis, Minn.
Married with four children, Dr. McClelland enjoys watching and playing sports, and spending time with his family.
