Two groups at Providence manage our grants and use the community assessment information to set priorities for giving.
This group includes Providence Health Plans, our hospitals and clinics, senior care experts, physicians, and other parts of our integrated health system. The council accepts grant applications for amounts up to $25,000.
This group is a partnership involving community and state advisors and our health system. It makes grants in amounts of $50,000 or greater.
Providence Health & Services supports a variety of organizations and agencies through financial sponsorships and other partnerships that assist the underserved in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Based on our community assessments, we tailor our programs to respond to regional, area and neighborhood needs.
"Shiloh Ministries was given a grant from Providence, allowing us to purchase a new freezer and refrigerator. Because of this grant, 1,144 families were fed a more balanced diet and we were able to supply dairy products for the first time. It is through the love of Christ and the core values of Providence that our vision is made possible."Chaplain Vernetta Ollison, Founder
