After an MRI found a brain tumor, Jamie Amos and Jon Tafoya decide to plan and have their wedding at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center two days before her scheduled brain surgery. Family, friends and Providence employees stepped in to make the wedding happen with little more than 24 hours notice.

The couple held a news conference after Jamie's surgery to express their gratitude for the care they received and to share news that Jamie will now begin the next step in her process- radiation on her brain and then chemotherapy for her lung cancer.
Among the things Jamie and Jon said:
“I wish I could give a high five to our doctors/nurses and their parents (for making them the amazing people they are). Jamie’s brain surgery and quick recovery was the best wedding present ever.” ~Jon
“I was excited after meeting with my oncologist. There’s an entire team to help support me and my family. I love that is it not just me that they look at, but my entire family. That’s so important to me because my family is taking care of me.” ~Jamie
