Stress echo

Also known as: Stress echo test, Stress echocardiogram

An echocardiogram is performed immediately before and after you walk on a treadmill. During the test, your heart rate and blood pressure will be monitored. You are not to eat or drink anything for at least two hours before your test. Check with your doctor regarding any heart medications you may be taking. Wear loose, comfortable clothing along with comfortable walking or tennis shoes. This test takes one hour to complete.

Providence St. Vincent Heart Clinic is dedicated to each patient who needs testing or treatment for heart disease.

Our excellent team of physicians, nurses, sonographers, nuclear medicine technologists and support staff provide the highest quality cardiology care to our patients.
