Providence exceeds national quality guidelines for stroke care. Providence Portland Medical Center and Providence St. Vincent Medical Center exceed the national quality guidelines for stroke care, achieving the Get With The Guidelines Gold Plus performance award for sustained excellence in stroke care from the American Stroke Association. They are also certified by The Joint Commission.

Providence Stroke Center is actively engaged in clinical research, the results of which are already being used to improve stroke care in Oregon. We offer patients the opportunity to participate in clinical trials focused on finding the most effective new treatments for stroke.
Providence Acute Rehabilitation Center in Portland and Providence Acute Rehabilitation Program - Southern Oregon offer specialized care for stroke patients including:
