How does pain work?

When we experience pain, we’re used to thinking that this means that something is wrong. Of course sometimes pain does come on after an injury. However, new information about the ways our bodies function tells us that we can begin to think about pain differently. Some of this new information should actually help us to learn how to decrease our pain.
