The 19th annual Providence Bridge Pedal and Bridge Stride will be Sunday, Aug. 10. Enjoy biking or walking across the bridges, and visit the Providence Bridge Pedal Health and Wellness Expo for health tips from Providence programs. The 2014 Providence Bridge Pedal registration is now open.

Prenatal yoga 
Prenatal yoga can be a great way to prepare for childbirth as your body undergoes many changes. Benefits include better sleep, strength, flexibility and the endurance needed for childbirth. This six-week class can also reduce stress, anxiety and the common discomforts of pregnancy. Nurture yourself and celebrate with other expectant mothers. This class is appropriate for all stages of a complication-free pregnancy. Please check with your health care provider before participating in any exercise class during pregnancy.

Yoga – Mom & Baby
After your baby is born, nurture yourself while spending time with your baby. Benefits of this class include regaining strength and tone while combating fatigue and stress with mindful breathing and gentle yoga positions. During the class your baby can be close to you on the mat or can participate in the movements. This class is ideal for new moms and babies from six weeks old until they are crawling or walking. Breastfeeding/diaper changing breaks are expected. Please ask your midwife or doctor if you have questions about when to start.

Zumba
Are you ready to party yourself into shape? That's exactly what the Zumba® program is all about. This class caters to all levels, from beginner to intermediate, using a fusion of Latin and international music. You will incorporate body-sculpting exercises with Zumba® Toning and learn how to balance and stabilize your core.

Pain education
This free class is designed to help you understand how pain works in the body and brain. Learn how pain originates and functions and how you can improve the situation. Check our schedule for various times and locations.


Infant Massage
This three-week class teaches rhythmic massage strokes designed to relax you and your baby.

Support Groups

Smoking Cessation Support Group
This support group is designed to help those who have recently quit smoking, as well as anyone trying to remain smoke-free. Connect with others to share tips and ideas in this monthly group, which is led by a facilitator. Registration is required.
