Greatest Need Fund
The foundation board can fund equipment requests based on demonstrated need, which allows the flexibility to meet unknown requirements of the future, wherever the need is greatest. Last year unrestricted funds were used to purchase a bronchoscope, a pull lift for rehab patients and new inpatient beds for the hospital. Most recently, funding was approved to replace exam tables in two of our medical clinics.
Providence Cares Fund
The Providence Cares Fund not only supports the health and well-being of our patients, but the entire community. Through programs and donations, Providence connects families with preventive care to keep them healthy, fills gaps in community services and provides opportunities that bring hope in difficult times. Some examples of Providence Cares programs are oral health for emergencies and pre-screening for 3-5 year olds, medical services for the uninsured, support for the local homeless shelter, transportation for seniors needing care and our latest venture—the mental health crisis respite center in Warrenton.
Helping Hand Fund
The Helping Hand fund is available to Providence caregivers (employees) in the Oregon region who are experiencing financial distress. This fund is supported entirely by Providence caregivers to help their colleagues in times of crisis, emergency or unexpected hardship. Any Providence caregiver who has been employed for a least one year may apply for help.
