Be a Volunteer
It takes a village to bring the Festival of Trees to life. Lend your time and talent to help bring holiday joy to the Portland metro area while supporting important Providence programs. With your help, we can make a difference in our community.
Here are some ways you can be a part of festival.
- Host a tree. Answer questions, share facts, and help our guests learn more about the beautiful Providence Festival of Trees.
- Help in a feature. Help with of the fun activities for kids throughout the festival. Volunteers are needed to paint faces, assist in cookie decorating, help in Teddy Bear Hospital and more.
- Behind the scenes. Maybe you are more of a back-of-house type volunteer. It takes an army to set up and decorate the hall for the festival as well as help pack everything up for the next year. Volunteers who help here are truly the unsung heroes of festival.
More than 1,000 volunteers contribute about 30,000 hours annually to make the festival possible. You don’t have to be an artist or craft expert to help – there are plenty of ways to contribute your time and talent.
Thank you in advance for your generous gift of time.
