The nationally recognized Providence Benedictine Nursing Center is a not-for-profit organization. We care for residents and patients in a spirit of respect, compassion and sensitivity. We take a person-centered approach to care and work to enhance each individual’s physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual well-being. We strive to help each person achieve his or her highest quality of life while living at the nursing center. We offer short-term rehabilitation services, as well as long-term options for nursing care.
Since 1955, the staff at Providence Benedictine Nursing Center have devoted themselves to providing quality services in a loving, supportive environment. Founded by the Benedictine Sisters, the nursing center has become a health care leader by developing innovative, nationally recognized care programs.
Our interdisciplinary team is made of up professionals with the knowledge and skills that enable us to provide high-quality services to our residents and patients. We consider our nursing center a “teaching nursing home” as students and interns from local colleges and universities come to our organization to learn more about their chosen field and our progressive style of caregiving.
Our health care team provides:
Providing physical, occupational, speech and language therapies to help residents regain function and independence
Helping individuals and their families through admission, discharge and other transitions
Working to meet the needs of each resident and, when appropriate, educating family members
Offering a variety of individualized, small-group and intergenerational activities to stimulate and involve residents
Spiritual services and counseling:
Addressing the spiritual needs of residents through personal visits by Catholic and Protestant chaplains, daily Mass, interdenominational services and weekly Bible study
Promoting wellness by offering assessment, counseling and community education
Offering rehabilitation and skilled nursing services within a Medicare-certified unit at the nursing center
