Pharmacologic nuclear scan
This is a test in which you receive an IV infusion of a medication to exercise your heart. Your heart rate, blood pressure and ECG are monitored during the entire stress test. Your heart will be imaged by a nuclear camera both before and after the pharmacologic infusion. Specially trained medical staff will administer your test and all scans will be interpreted by a board-certified nuclear cardiologist. A nuclear scan takes about three to four hours to complete.
Providence St. Vincent Heart Clinic is dedicated to each patient who needs testing or treatment for heart disease. Our excellent team of physicians, nurses, sonographers, nuclear medicine technologists and support staff provide the highest quality cardiology care to our patients.
