Also known as: Dobutamine stress echo test, Dobutamine stress echocardiogram, Echocardiogram, dobutamine stress
This echocardiogram is similar to a stress echocardiogram but does not require you to walk on the treadmill. Dobutamine, a medication that raises your heart rate and blood pressure, will be administered by a registered nurse during the test. You are not to eat or drink anything for at least two hours before your test. Check with your doctor regarding any medications you may be taking. This test takes 1 ½ hours to complete.
