Continuing Medical Education
Also known as:
Providence Portland Medical Center is accredited by the Oregon Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Mission of the northern Oregon Regional Providence Health System Department of Continuing Medical Education is to provide to physicians in our geographical region stimulating educational programs – lectures, small group workshops, debates, simulation and other types of activities – which are balanced, objective, evidence-based, and possess scientific integrity. Each CME activity should improve attendees’ knowledge and also stimulate physician-attendees to pursue personalized self-directed learning specific to their practices. Our CME program emphasizes the needs of primary care providers and ultimately should lead to improved physician performance.
