Cardiopulmonary exercise testing

Cardiopulmonary exercise testing is a non-invasive and objective method to evaluate heart and lung function. Heart and lung capacity and function are measured during treadmill or stationary bicycle exercise.  These measurements are used to assess functional impairment and to aid in the evaluation of shortness of breath and other respiratory symptoms.   Providence Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine┬áprovides inpatient and outpatient consultation, evaluation and state-of-the-art treatment for a wide range of acute and chronic lung diseases and critical illnesses.
