Me Too

Me, Too is an 8 week child & family grief support program serving children and teens ages 5-18 and their parents or guardians. Children and teens are provided the opportunity to learn that they are not alone in their grief and to connect with other families who are also grieving. The program is a collaboration between Legacy Hospice Services, the Providence Hospice Programs and the Oregon Hospice Association.

What do people do at Me, Too?
Children and teens meet with their peers in age-specific groups while adults attend an adult group. Each group is led by a mental-health professional and specially-trained volunteers. Children and teens are provided various opportunities to engage in artistic activities, discussion, and physical activities (e.g. throwing balls, basketball, etc.) that are designed to help them understand and express their grief in ways that are meaningful for them. The adult groups are a unique blend of helping adults understand and support grieving children while also receiving support through their own grief processes.
