Benedictine after-school care
Children in this class range from kindergarten-age through 12 years old. We have up to 15 children for each teacher in the after-school program. The bus from St. Mary’s public school drops the children off in front of our center.
The children focus on teamwork, diversity and community outreach. The children have made several contributions to the community, such as refurbishing bikes for children at a local homeless shelter and cleaning the gazebo in downtown Mt. Angel. The children have many opportunities to make decisions and changes to their environment. Each week they do cooking projects. They have their own sewing machine and have made several quilts. School children can do their homework before their parents pick them up from the after-school center.
Providence Benedictine Child Development Center is a nationally accredited nonprofit child care facility serving employees of Providence Health & Services and the surrounding community since 1989.
