Ankle replacement

The ankle is a weight-bearing joint that absorbs the body's full impact. An injured or diseased ankle can be especially painful. Ankle replacement is surgery to replace the damaged parts of the three bones that make up the ankle joint. Artificial joint parts (prosthetics) are used to replace your own bones. Providence Orthopedic Institute offers professional treatment for adults and children in the following areas: joint reconstruction and revisions, foot and ankle injuries, hand and upper extremity surgery, fracture care, trauma care and sports injuries.  We use a variety of assessment and treatment tools to establish an accurate diagnosis quickly and develop a care plan that is tailored to the needs of each patient.
