Tomi Ryba is new chief executive for Providence in Southern Oregon

MEDFORD, Ore. - Tomi Ryba, a proven leader with extensive health care experience, has been named chief executive for Providence’s Southern Oregon Service Area.
Ryba was most recently president and CEO of El Camino Hospital in California’s Silicon Valley. During her time leading this 443-bed tertiary system, she worked to expand services to meet community needs, aligned services with community physicians, led strategy to position ECH to be an award-winning market leader, worked to improve quality, and engaged employees to develop a culture of excellence.
“Tomi’s deep level of experience and her passion for caregivers and patients will make her an excellent leader for our Providence services in southern Oregon,” said Theron Park, chief executive, delivery systems for Providence in Oregon.
Her previous roles include being a hospital administrator in California’s Riverside General Hospital, chief operating officer at both Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center and UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco, president of St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, Calif. and senior vice president of Allina and president of United Hospital and Clinics out of Minnesota.

Ryba has served on the national Board of Directors for Premier, was a board member for Beta Insurance, and served on the boards of Anthem Blue Cross, Hospital Council of Northern and Central California and California Hospital Association.
She will join Providence on Dec. 4, 2017.
