Becker’s Hospital Review has named Providence Portland Medical Center as one of 100 hospitals with great oncology programs.

“The hospitals and health systems included on this list lead the way in care for patients with cancer. These organizations have received recognition for their clinical outcomes, multidisciplinary care teams, clinical expertise and oncology research. They are also influential in cancer education and prevention efforts,” says the publication.

Providence Portland Medical Center’s listing cites its Magnet recognition for nursing excellence, designation as a Blue Distinction Center for Complex & Rare Cancers and accreditation by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Providence Cancer Center is also highlighted as home to two Quality Oncology Practice Initiative-certified clinics for oncology and hematology care.
