Providence Specialty Pharmacy granted URAC accreditation
January 16, 2015
Providence Specialty Pharmacy has just undergone a rigorous review process conducted by URAC, an independent, nonprofit organization that is a well-known leader in promoting healthcare quality through its accreditation, education, and measurement programs.
Providence Specialty Pharmacy, led by Debbie Michaelson, M.S., RPh, Director, has worked diligently for over a year, preparing for the review process. As a result, Providence Specialty Pharmacy was granted URAC accreditation in December of 2014. Per Debbie Michaelson, not only did Providence Specialty Pharmacy meet the mandatory accreditation requirements, but we also "achieved URAC's Leading Indicator status by satisfying all of the optional elements which highlight practices not yet widely adopted in healthcare."
The URAC accreditation further differentiates Providence Specialty Pharmacy from other organizations, as a leader in the industry and demonstrates our continued commitment to find and provide innovative solutions in improving population health and providing, not only affordable healthcare services, but the best patient care experience for our patients and community.
URAC accreditation is truly a significant and outstanding accomplishment for Providence Specialty Pharmacy and Providence Health & Services.
