Nancy Roberts has accepted the position of chief operating officer at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. Roberts replaces Alex Jackson and will begin her new role July 15. She will be accountable for the overall operations of Providence St. Vincent and also will be assigned some regional department accountabilities.
Roberts currently performs dual roles as the system director for Epic deployment, and as IS senior director, portfolio management, across the Providence system. Before joining the Epic team, she held the position of surgery executive and assistant administrator at Providence St. Vincent.
"Nancy has been a person of Providence for 29 years and has made many contributions to our ministry over the years, including the development of wellness services, bringing operational excellence tools and services to Providence, and leading regional efforts in surgical safety, quality and patient experience," says Janice Burger, the hospital's chief executive.
Roberts holds a bachelor of science in health education from Lewis & Clark College and a master of public health from the University of Washington.
