New Study finds 40 percent of new parents give solids to their babies too soon

The American Academy of Pediatrics suggest not starting babies on solid food before six months, but a newly-released CDC study found that about 40 percent of new parents begin giving solids to their babies at four months. Nurse midwife Mary Dietrich, Providence Maternal Care Clinic, explains the importance of breast milk during the first six months of a baby's life in an interview with KATU.
