Telemedicine delivers quality Parkinson's care[Audio]

Imagine having a disease like Parkinson’s and living in a rural area, far from a major city. Seeing a specialist often involves having to travel long distances. But now, telemedicine technology is helping bring Parkinson’s specialists to the patient.

Richard Rosenbaum, M.D., medical director, Providence Center for Parkinson's Disease, explains some of the ways it is improving care, including allowing him to zoom in and better observe the patient than in person. His patient all report being very comfortable receiving care this way.
