July 06, 2011
People at Providence Cancer Center aren’t alone in thinking Christie Moore, D.O. is great. The sentiment is echoed by others in the Portland area. Providence oncologist Christie J. Moore, D.O., was named Woman of the Year by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Oregon SW Washington Idaho and Montana Chapter at a gala event on June 9 at the Governor Hotel in downtown Portland.

Dr. Moore specializes in the treatment of leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and myelodysplastic syndromes. She was one of nine candidates (four women, five men) who participated in a 10-week Man/Woman of the year campaign to raise awareness and funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  “It’s easy for me to be passionate about the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society,” said Dr. Moore. “I see on a daily basis what this organization does for my patients, providing them with essential services every step of the way.”

Patrick Palmer, Pinnacle Capital Mortgage Corp., was named Man of the Year by the regional organization.
The campaigned raised a total of $180,800 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Oregon SW Washington Idaho and Montana Chapter, according to Eric Tweed at LLS.
