Providence Willamette Falls Medical Foundation Golf Invitational
June 30, 2011
It was a great day for hitting the greens Thursday, June 23, at the fourth annual Providence Willamette Falls Medical Foundation Golf Invitational. A total of 104 golfers enjoyed pleasant weather while raising $50,000 to support hospital patient care programs, the purchase of medical equipment, and the creation of a free clinic to serve the growing numbers of medically uninsured people in Clackamas County.
Twenty-six teams played in a scramble format at Willamette Valley Country Club, where Total Mechanical took the first-place team trophy with a score of 59. Key Bank claimed second place, and Mazzetti Nash Lipsey Burch came in third.
Other highlights included a helicopter golf-ball-drop raffle sponsored by Safeway, a putting contest and a silent auction. The lucky raffle winner was Carolyn Krueger of Milwaukie, whose $10 ticket earned her a $1,000 Key Possibilities Gift Card.
Special thanks to the overall course sponsor, Anderson Die & Manufacturing, for making this tournament possible.
