June 09, 2011

PORTLAND, Ore. – Keith Hyde has been named as the new chief executive of Providence Milwaukie Hospital by Providence Health & Services. Hyde, who has been with Providence for 31 years, succeeds Theron Park, now the chief executive at Providence Portland Medical Center.

Hyde came to Providence Milwaukie three years ago as assistant administrator and became chief operating officer last year. Previously, he served as Providence’s regional director of respiratory therapy.

“Keith’s strong leadership skills, willingness to think creatively and commitment to our Providence Mission will serve us well,” said Dave Underriner, chief executive, delivery systems for Providence Health & Services-Oregon.

“I’m delighted and honored to be given the opportunity to serve in this position,” said Hyde. “Providence Milwaukie has a long tradition of providing excellent care and meaningful service to our community. I look forward to continuing that work in partnership with our great staff, physicians and leadership.”
