Positive Discipline Principles and Strategies for Your Family

Please join Caty Buckley, MSW as she discusses the principles of Positive Discipline, a mutually respectful parenting philosophy that empowers both children and parents. This presentation will include:

  • Brain research to understand what happens when children go "offline"
  • Techniques to stay kind and firm at the same time
  • Developing Positive Time Outs
  • Tools and language to problem solve before issues begin and again, after the storm 

Caty Buckley is a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and has been offering Positive Discipline parenting classes and support to area parents since 2011. Caty currently works with teenagers at a local high school, where she is working on her licensure as an LCSW. She and her spouse have two children, both of whom are her unwitting guinea pigs.
