A continuum: Understanding attachment

Lynne Herbert, LPC is the founder of the Attachment Center of Central Oregon in Bend and specializes in working with children and their families who have experienced early childhood abuse and/or neglect and attachment disruptions. She utilizes a developmental, family, and systems approach to support children to learn to feel safe and build healthy attachment.

Parents and caregivers, please join Lynne at this free training as she examines previous concepts of attachment and widens this concept to a continuum - from healthy attachment to attachment disorder.

Participants will gain greater understanding regarding:

  • How early experiences create an internal idea of relationships that continues to impact us in many ways
  • The continuum of attachment and how improvement in attachment health can occur through our lifetime
  • Interventions to use at home to facilitate relationship safety, security, and connection
  • The role of parent/caregiver as the primary attachment figure and their importance in creating change
