Patient services at Providence Newberg Medical Center can be divided into two main categories - each with specialized staff members, levels of expertise and patient-friendly admissions process.
- In-Patient: Anything that requires you being admitted to the hospital falls under the heading of In-Patient Services. Maybe you've broken your hip and need replacement surgery. Maybe you're having a baby. Or maybe you're having chest pains and need to be monitored overnight. These are all examples of in-patient care that would require a stay in the hospital.
- Out-Patient: If you're coming to us for a service that doesn't require a stay in the hospital, you are considered a part of the Out-Patient Services. Pre-operative procedures such as x-rays, urinalysis and blood draws are done during routine scheduled appointments.
