Critical Care Units

Visitation and phone calls in the Critical Care Unit are restricted during the hours of 7 - 8:30 a.m. and 7 - 8:30 p.m. Otherwise, based on patient care considerations and nursing discretion, we have a flexible visiting policy. The entrance to the Critical Care Unit is protected to respect the privacy of our patients. Please inquire at the intercom before each visit.

Providence BirthPlace

Providence BirthPlace permits laboring mothers to have visitors at any hour throughout the labor process. Visitors in this special area are asked to clean their hands before touching newborns. For the protection of new moms and babies, the BirthPlace is a very secure area with video cameras and security systems.

The Providence Guild Gift Shop is located near the main lobby on the first floor of the hospital. It is open Monday through Saturday and offers an assortment of fresh flowers, balloons, candy and gifts. Profits from the gift shop and other Guild projects are donated to Providence Medford Medical Center to help purchase patient care equipment and support hospital programs.

Flowers and balloons

A few cheerful flowers are always appreciated, but space does not permit large floral arrangements. Flowers are sold on campus at the Providence Guild Gift Shop on the first floor.

  • Flowers and plants are not permitted in the Critical Care Unit or on 3-East Medical Oncology.
  • Providence Medford Medical Center does not permit latex balloons.
