Classes for pregnancy and beyond:

Childbirth class – Third Saturday of each month, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
You and your partner are invited to attend these classes taught by a childbirth educator. You'll learn the signs and stages of labor, various laboring positions, breathing and relaxation techniques, birth choices, medications available during labor/birth, your partner's role, how a doula can help and more.

Newborn Care class – Second Tuesday of each month, 6-9 p.m.
There is so much to learn after a baby is born! Taking our newborn care class before your baby arrives will help you feel confident and at ease with your infant. Topics include newborn senses, behavior, feeding, bowel function, circumcision, bathing and care, what a baby's cries mean, techniques for soothing a baby, growth and development, how to include the baby's siblings, car seat guidelines and infant safety tips.

Breastfeeding class – First Thursday of each month, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
As a Baby-Friendly birth center, we create the best possible environment for successful breast-feeding, including support and lactation education. In this two-hour class, you'll learn the benefits that breast-feeding offers moms, babies and society. You'll also learn about breast anatomy and physiology; breast-feeding positions and latch; how to know if your baby is getting enough; and other breast-feeding basics. This class may be taken before or after your baby is born.

Mom and Baby group – Every Thursday, 12:30-2 p.m.
All mothers with their babies are invited to attend our free, weekly support group for ongoing encouragement and hands-on assistance with breast-feeding and more. This is your opportunity to meet with other moms and babies to share support, reassurance and experiences.
