Providence Medical Group

With more than 90 clinics and more than 600 employed physicians in Oregon, Providence Medical Group offers primary and specialty care to adults and children. Our patient-centered medical home clinics have received Oregon’s highest, Tier 3, recognition for excellence.

Providence Health Plan

Providence Health Plan offers a cohesive approach to member and patient care with insurance options for commercial and self-funded groups, people eligible for Medicare or Medicaid, and other individuals and families.

Serving our communities

Continuing a history of compassionate service, Providence reaches beyond the walls of our clinical settings to touch the lives of vulnerable individuals. We do this through community benefit investments, collaborating with local partners to assess community health needs and create solutions together.

Reduced need for charity care allows our ministries more opportunity to intentionally invest in organizations and programs that help people in most need. Last year, Providence invested more than $417.5 million in community benefit. This included $43.4 million in free and discounted care so people who are uninsured or underinsured could access services. Other investments were in health education and research, along with $16 million in community partnerships to directly fund health improvement initiatives and health screenings across Oregon.

Programs and services

PROVIDENCE ORTHOPEDIC INSTITUTE delivers a progressive approach to musculoskeletal conditions, injuries and pain. Sports medicine services are available around the state and at our flagship location at Providence Sports Care Center at Providence Park in Portland.

PROVIDENCE CHILD CENTER fills an important gap in the community and offers the only pediatric skilled nursing facility in the Northwest. We provide primary care, rehabilitation and dental care to children with disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders. Our Center for Medically Fragile Children offers 24/7 long-term, short-term, respite and end-of-life care for babies and children to 21 years old.

PROVIDENCE BENEDICTINE CARE COMMUNITY in Mt. Angel comprises nursing care, an assisted living facility and child care. The nursing center has become a health care leader by developing innovative, nationally recognized care programs.

PROVIDENCE ELDERPLACE provides health care and social services for frail older adults, based on the national PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) model. Last year we served 1,440 seniors.
